Shaw pens new long-term Man Utd deal

Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has put pen-to-paper on a fresh long-term contract with the club.

The England international started the season on a slow note, but he has picked up his performances over the entire campaign.

He is currently one of the undisputed starters for manager Erik ten Hag and has now put pen-to-paper on an improved contract.

Shaw's previous deal was due to expire in the summer of 2024 and he has now extended his stay for another three seasons.

He told the Red Devils' official website: "Nine years ago, I signed for this amazing club, and I am thrilled to be extending my stay."

"I have grown immensely since coming to Manchester all those years ago, both as a person and as a player; I know what is needed to succeed at a club like this."

Aside from Shaw, United are also aiming to finalise long-term deals with Marcus Rashford, David de Gea and Diogo Dalot.
