Man Utd set price tag for Newcastle United target
Manchester United have set their price tag for midfielder Scott McTominay amid interest from Newcastle United.
The Scotland international has been a key player in the first-team squad but he has struggled for regular game time.
McTominay started the season as an undisputed starter in the number six role but lost his place to Casemiro in October.
He has recently retained his spot for three matches but this has been largely due to Casemiro's domestic suspension.
The 26-year-old is expected to drop to the bench for the next league game and we won't be surprised if he wishes to leave.
According to The Sun, United are open to the possibility of selling the Scot but he won't be available on the cheap.
Newcastle United are long-term admirers of the midfielder but they will have to pay at least £50m to land him.
McTominay has two more years remaining on his contract, but the club have the option to extend for another 12 months.
