Chelsea and Newcastle interested in Neymar?

Chelsea and Newcastle United are reportedly contenders to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar this summer.

The Brazil international has been with Les Parisiens for the past six years but he is expected to head for the exit door.

Neymar is fed up with the criticism from the club's faithful and he is prepared to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.

UOL Sport claim that the Premier League could be his next destination and Chelsea and Newcastle are early favourites.

Blues co-owner Todd Boehly spoke with officials from PSG earlier this year and Neymar was apparently a topic discussed.

Boehly is a huge admirer of the 31-year-old star and could attempt to sign him permanently in a deal worth £60 million.

Meanwhile, the Magpies could also be a tempting destination for Neymar with their possible Champions League qualification.

The big stumbling block would be his wages. Neymar will need to accept a mammoth pay-cut to make the switch to either club.
