Man Utd ready to swoop for Serie A winner?
Manchester Untied are ready to trigger the release clause in the contract of Napoli defender Kim Min-jae, according to Corriere dello Sport.
The Red Devils have been following the South Korean for several months and they are now determined to sign the 26-year-old centre-back.
Corriere dello Sport report that Min-jae's €60m release clause will be active between July 1-15 and United are prepared to activate it.
However, they are not alone in the pursuit of the highly-rated defender.
The Red Devils could face strong competition in the form of Manchester City, who are also aiming to strengthen their backline further.
Aymeric Laporte is widely expected to leave the English champions and Pep Guardiola wants Min-jae to replace the Spaniard in the squad.
Meanwhile, Min-jae has yet to decide on his future and he could decide to snub the interest and pen a new long-term contract at Napoli.
The South Korean star recently said that he does not like the speculation over his future and he is happy with the proceedings in Naples.
