Manchester United are pushing to sign Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

The Portuguese has been in tremendous form for his club this term. He has scored 26 goals and provided 12 assists to date.

His progress has caught the eye of United and Record claim that they are preparing a formal bid to land his signature.

The Red Devils are prepared to make a bid of around £70 million and are willing to include £30m in added bonuses.

Benfica have turned down bids for the striker in the past few years but it is claimed that they won't be able to stop him.

Ramos has made the decision to move on at the end of the season and Benfica are expected to oblige to his request.

United seem the front-runners to land his signature, though the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid could enter the race.

Champions League football could be vital to signing the 21-year-old.
