Arsenal midfielder in advanced talks to join Bayer Leverkusen
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is in advanced talks to join Bayer Leverkusen at the end of the season, according to Standard Sport.
The Switzerland international has been terrific for the Gunners this term, registering seven goals and seven assists in all competitions.
His performances have earned plenty of plaudits from the fans but he looks set to pursue a new challenge in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old has already received the blessing from manager Mikel Arteta and his transfer to Leverkusen could be made official soon.
Personal terms have already been agreed with Leverkusen and the Gunners are expected to receive around £13 million up front for him.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are expected to land a marquee replacement for the Swiss and Declan Rice of West Ham United in the top target.
Arsenal apparently have a verbal agreement with the Hammers for the player. They could pay a fee in the region of £90 million for him.
The north London giants are also looking to land the signature of Moises Caicedo from Brighton & Hove Albion in the coming weeks.
