Man Utd identify alternative to Adrien Rabiot?

Manchester United have identified Borussia Monchengladbach's Manu Kone as a potential alternative to Adrien Rabiot this summer.

Rabiot's contract with Juventus expires at the end of the season and he has decided to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.

United are back in the race to land his signature but they could resort to someone else if they fail to agree personal terms.

As per RMC Sport, Kone is the back-up choice for the Red Devils if they are unable to push through a free transfer for Rabiot.

Kone has developed into a terrific central midfielder for Monchengladbach and could be sold for around £35 million this summer.

Chelsea are already interested in signing the Frenchman but it seems United could enter the pursuit over the forthcoming weeks.

United could have a big advantage over the Blues in the pursuit, particularly if they qualify for the Champions League.

The Red Devils need a maximum of six points from their remaining three league games to finish in the Premier League top four.
