Man Utd in the lead to sign Serie A champion?
Manchester United are reportedly in the lead to sign Napoli defender Kim Min-jae in the summer transfer window.
The South Korean signed for the Serie A outfit from Fenerbahce last summer and he has helped them win the title this season.
It is now reported that Min-jae could leave the club at the end of the season due to a foreign release clause in his deal.
The €60 million clause will be active between July 1-15 and it is claimed that United are prepared to pay the figure.
The club have yet to agree personal terms with the central defender but reports claim that they are clear favourites.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, the central defender is widely expected to leave Napoli and has no plans to renew.
Napoli have tried to convince him over a new contract to increase the clause but Min-jae has his sights on moving on.
Aside from United, Manchester City are also interested in landing the centre-back ahead of the next transfer window.
