Aston Villa & Newcastle keen on signing Man Utd star

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are interested in signing Manchester United defender Harry Maguire on loan this summer.

The England international had a tough season with the Red Devils, and he made only eight starts in the Premier League.

Hence, he has been touted to move on in the next transfer window, and The Sun claim that United could consider loan bids.

Villa and Newcastle are among the contenders to land the centre-back, but it is claimed that the former have a better chance.

The Magpies have had a tremendous transformation under their Saudi owners, and they are back in the Champions League.

United are aware of their financial firepower and they are only prepared to sell Maguire to them and won't entertain a loan deal.

Maguire has also been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, but the north London outfit are yet to make a formal transfer bid.

Spurs are keeping tabs on his situation with new manager Ange Postecoglou aiming to bolster his defence for next season.
