Man Utd star close to agreeing new long-term deal

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is reportedly on the cusp of signing a new long-term contract.

The England international was sensational for the Red Devils last season, bagging 30 goals and 11 assists across all competitions.

His current £200,000-a-week deal expires next summer, and it is only a matter of time before he commits to a fresh long-term contract.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old has already agreed terms over an extension, and an announcement is expected very soon.

United boss Erik ten Hag has reportedly played a big role in convincing him after transforming his fortunes in the recent campaign.

Rashford is set to become United's joint-highest earner with the renewal. He could earn close to £375,000-a-week at the Red Devils.

David de Gea is on the same salary at Old Trafford, but United could release him when his contract expires at the end of June.

The Spaniard has refused to accept a significant pay-cut to prolong his stay. He could be on his way to Saudi Arabia this summer.
