Man Utd to hold Chelsea talks for Mount

Manchester United are set to hold talks with Chelsea this week to finalise the transfer of Mason Mount.

The Red Devils have already made three bids for the England international, but they have yet to finalise a deal.

Their recent package of £55m was rejected by the Blues, who are holding out for at least £65m for Mount.

It is now reported by The Telegraph that United are not planning to increase their proposal for the midfielder.

Instead, they are prepared to hold a meeting with the Blues to negotiate on the structure of their recent deal.

United believe they have made a fair offer for the 24-year-old whose contract expires in 12 months.

Mount has no plans of signing a new contract at the moment, and he could leave on a free next summer.

It is left to be seen whether Chelsea are prepared to lower the transfer valuation for their graduate.

Mount is expected to report for pre-season training at Chelsea next week if no suitable fee is agreed on.
