Manchester United are showing strong interest in signing Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat this summer.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the Moroccan star in the past few weeks, and they are now considering an approach.

According to La Nazione, United are the only club that are genuinely in the race to sign the World Cup semi-finalist.

Atletico Madrid have been linked with his services, but they have cooled their pursuit to focus on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Amrabat is currently valued in the region of €28-30m by Fiorentina, but United are likely to offer around €25m for him.

With the small difference in the valuations, there is optimism that United can strike an agreement for him in the coming weeks.

United are presently focused on landing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund after which they could turn their attention to Amrabat.

In the meantime, the club are looking to offload the likes of Fred and Donny van de Beek to secure funds for Amrabat's arrival.
