Man Utd yet to make transfer offer for top target

Manchester United are yet to make an opening offer to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Morocco international is looking for a bigger challenge away from Florence and he is currently training away from the first-team squad.

Talks have been ongoing between clubs and his representatives, but Fiorentina are yet to receive an official transfer proposal from any side.

United are one of those teams that have been speaking with his entourage, but they are not in a position to make an approach to sign Amrabat.

The Red Devils currently need to recoup transfer funds for more signings. Amrabat's arrival would depend on a big-money sale in the coming days.

Scott McTominay has been linked with West Ham United for a number of weeks and his departure could pave the way for Amrabat's arrival.

Aside from United, Liverpool have been touted to land the 26-year-old, but they are waiting for Fiorentina to lower their €30 million valuation.
