Turkey star on his way to Man Utd for second medical

Bayindir to Man Utd soon?

Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is on his way to Manchester United for a second round of medical tests.

The Turkey international underwent a pre-medical with the club earlier this week and they are now close to signing him.

An agreement has been reached over a transfer package worth €7m, and he will be permitted to leave for England soon.

On his arrival, he is set to undergo another medical with the club before putting pen-to-paper on a long-term contract.

Meanwhile, there are contradicting reports from Germany which suggest that United are also interested in Odysseas Vlachodimos.

The club have reportedly agreed personal terms with the Benfica goalkeeper and he is the top target for manager Erik ten Hag.

Unlike Bayindir, he will cost much more at €15m. United could decide between the two before the transfer window closes next week.

United have so far made three summer signings in Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund. The latter has yet to make his debut.
