Chelsea defender left out of Premier League squad
Chelsea defender Malang Sarr has been left out of the club's 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of the campaign.
The Frenchman joined the Blues from Nice on a free transfer in 2020. He was described as one of the best young centre-backs in Ligue 1.
However, he has made just 21 appearances for the club thus far, and has spent time away on loan with Porto as well as Monaco.
The Blues have now decided to exclude the Frenchman from their Premier League squad which suggests he has no future at the club.
Sarr has been training away with the Under 21s. He could play for them until the New Year before being offloaded to another side.
He is clearly out-of-favour under manager Mauricio Pochettino, who was recently unaware that Sarr is contracted to the club.
Chelsea have had a woeful start to the Premier League season, and they have accumulated just four points from as many games.
