Chelsea planning shock move for Argentine striker?

Chelsea could make a shock approach to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez when the transfer window reopens this winter.

The Argentine has been a fantastic performer for the Nerazzurri. Last season, he scored 28 goals and provided another 11 assists.

He has started the current season in similar fashion with five goals and one assist, but reports claim that he could leave the club.

Inter Milan have been hampered with financial concerns over the past few years which has forced them to sanction big-money sales.

According to Fichajes, he is currently an indispensable figure in the squad and talks are ongoing over a new long-term contract.

However, the Nerazzurri could open the door for his departure if they receive a package of around €150 million from Chelsea.

The Blues are more than capable of paying the fee in the January transfer window, but they may need to convince the 26-year-old.

Martinez has been playing Champions League football with Inter, but he may not have the same luxury in his prime with Chelsea.
