Man Utd enter race to sign Arsenal midfield target

Manchester United are set to provide competition to Arsenal in the race to sign Fluminense midfielder Andre in January.

The Red Devils are currently without Casemiro until the New Year with a hamstring injury but there are suggestions that he could be sold out to a Saudi Arabian club.

This could urge them to invest on another holding midfielder in January and Football Transfers claim that they could turn their focus to landing Andre from Fluminense.

The club's hierarchy have already spoken with the player's representatives and they could go head-to-head with the Gunners to land his services in the next transfer window.

Fluminense have set an asking price of €40m for the highly-talented midfielder, who was on the radar of Premier League counterparts Liverpool last summer.

The Merseyside giants are no longer in the hunt for his services, but he could still end up in the Premier League with United and Arsenal keen on securing his signature.
