Sevilla FC hitman Frédéric Kanouté has sensationally revealed that he has have a number of calls from top European clubs in the past few days but insists that he is happy at the Seville club.

Kanoute has declare that a numbe rof clubs have knocked on his door for his signature in the last few weeks of the season. Kanoute doesn’t of course reveal the identities of the clubs but remarks tat they are European giants from England and Spain.

But not to sound too dramatic, the Mali international has assured that Sevilla fans that he is quite happy at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan and is not all bothered about signing for a another club, although he does admit that whether he stays or leaves depends on the club and the officials.

Frédéric Kanouté said:

“My contract runs until 2010. Let's see what the club think about it.

"I am happy with my situation at the club, but in football you can never say never. If the club wants to sell, you have to look elsewhere.

"I have had contact from some teams in England, Spain and two other giants of European football, so let's wait and see for my next destination.”

Frédéric Kanouté joined the Andalucian club in 2005 after an unsuccessful time with Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur But he has been a huge hit in his three seasons in La Liga and won the Pichichi award in the 2005-2006 season when he topscored in the Spanish first division.

Kanoute has developed into a star at Seville but with the club having failed to finish in the top four this season in the league, thereby missing out on a UEFA Champions League spot it appears likely that club pesdent Jose Maria del Nido might look to cash in on some of the major stars.

Right back Daniel Alves is already one foot out of Sevilla with a few others looking to do likewise. Kanoute too is expected to be a sensitive matter for Sevilla as the summer wears down.
