Chelsea considering big-money offer for PL striker
Chelsea are considering a big-money offer to sign Brentford striker Ivan Toney during the winter transfer window.
The Blues signed Nicolas Jackson to bolster their centre-forward department last summer, but he has been disappointing.
The Senegalese star recently scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur away from home, but that was against nine men.
Hence, the Blues want to land an upgrade in the New Year and football.london claim that Toney is the main transfer target.
Toney has not played a competitive game for the Bees since May after being handed a lengthy ban for breaching FA betting rules.
He started training with the team from mid-September and won't be allowed to return to competitive action until January 17.
Despite this, he has been on high demand. Arsenal are also looking at him for January but they could prioritise a midfielder.
Toney has opened the door to pursuing a bigger challenge, but the Bees may not sell him for less than £80m this winter.
