Arsenal ready to make January bid for next Andres Iniesta

Arsenal are ready to make a January bid to sign Royal Antwerp wonderkid Arthur Vermeeren in January, according to Sport.

The Gunners have been following the progress of the 18-year-old since last season and they are prepared to make a formal move this winter.

The club are willing to pay around €15 million for him, but Antwerp are expected to hold out for at least €25m to sanction his exit.

It remains to be seen whether the Gunners will consider raising their proposal for next Andres Iniesta. Antwerp are likely to demand more next summer.

Aside from the Gunners, Barcelona are also long-term admirers of the teenager, but they are unlikely to afford him in January.

The club have taken great effort to register Vitor Roque for January and their financial situation does not allow them to spend.

The Catalan giants are likely to wait until the end of the season. Arsenal have a splendid chance to beat them to Vermeeren's signing.
