Man Utd midfielder offers himself to Barcelona?

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has reportedly offered himself to Barcelona ahead of the January transfer window.

The Catalans recently suffered a huge setback with Gavi picking up a serious knee injury and he is expected to be sidelined for the season.

They are likely to pursue a low-cost replacement this winter and Sport claim that Van de Beek has offered himself to the La Liga holders.

Van de Beek was a top target for the Blaugrana when he was plying his trade for Ajax but United went on to beat them to his signature.

Sport claim that the midfielder still has a Barca profile, but the hierarchy doubt whether his arrival would benefit them going forward.

The Dutchman has been a regular on the bench for the Red Devils and he could maintain his position when the club host Chelsea tomorrow.

Van de Beek has played just 28 minutes in the current campaign and he is widely expected to leave United on a permanent basis this winter.
