Man Utd defender doubtful to face Bayern Munich

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Victor Lindelof is doubtful to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League tomorrow.

The Red Devils entertain the German champions at Old Trafford and the game is a must-win for them to have any chance of making the round of 16.

Even a victory may not be sufficient to stay in the competition, suppose Galatasaray or Copenhagen end up winning in the other group game.

Hence, United need plenty of good fortune on their side and ahead of the clash, Ten Hag has confirmed that Lindelof needs to be assessed.

The Swede was substituted at half-time against Chelsea last week with an injury and he was absent for the following game versus Bournemouth.

In his absence, Luke Shaw started in central defence alongside Harry Maguire and had a poor outing with his lack of aerial presence.

Lindelof's availability would be a huge boost for United, considering Ten Hag seems reluctant to play Raphael Varane at left centre-back.
