Man Utd still looking to sign Portuguese star

Manchester United are still interested in signing Sporting Lisbon defender Goncalo Inacio in January, according to Record.
The Red Devils have been long linked with a move for the central defender. They were first monitoring him in January last year.
The Portuguese recently signed a new deal with a €60m release clause but Record claim that he could still leave in 2024.
Liverpool and Arsenal are also monitoring the highly-rated defender, who dreams of playing in the Premier League in future.
There could be a potential bidding war at the beginning of the year, but Sporting have a clear stance on their position on him.
The Portuguese giants have no plans of negotiating a fee and will only sell the defender if his release clause is triggered next month.
The situation could be completely different at the end of the campaign where they could be willing to discuss on the price.
Sporting are currently competing for the Primeira Liga title and don't wish to lose the services of Inacio midway through the season.
