Tottenham eyeing formal approach for Man Utd target

Tottenham Hotspur are planning a formal move for Jean-Clair Todibo, who is also on the radar of Manchester United.

The France international was linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, but the Red Devils did not have the funds to sign him.

Spurs have recently joined the race for the centre-back and it is reported that they are now preparing an official transfer bid.

Todibo has given the green light to join the north London giants, but the question is whether Nice will negotiate with Spurs.

Nice owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has agreed a minority takeover at United and he will soon be in-charge of the footballing operations.

The deal could be approved as early as next month and Ratcliffe may want to bring Todibo to United rather than selling to Spurs.

Hence, there is a huge stumbling block for Ange Postecoglou's side and they could miss out on landing the ex-Barcelona man next month.
