Tottenham Hotspur confident of signing Conor Gallagher?

Tottenham Hotspur remain confident that they can strike an agreement with Chelsea for midfielder Conor Gallagher this month.

The England international was on the radar of Spurs in the last transfer window, but a deal did not materialise before the deadline.

Gallagher has since been a key player for the west London giants and he has already captained them in several Premier League games.

Despite this, there is speculation that he could leave for the right price, considering his current contract expires in the summer of 2028.

The Blues also need to balance their books for next summer and parting ways with a club graduate would provide them with pure financial profit.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou wants a running midfielder in the squad and remains optimistic that the club can pursue the services of Gallagher.

The Blues could be willing to sell for around £50 million and a deal could be agreed during the closing stages of the January transfer window.
