Morgan Rogers on Aston Villa transfer wish list

Unai Emery has made Morgan Rogers his top transfer target for the January transfer window, as the Middlesbrough striker looks set to leave the Riverside in search of completing his dream of Premier League football. Aston Villa will reportedly submit a bid of £15 million to try get this deal over the line.
Rogers spent his youth career playing for West Bromwich Albion, and later moved on to Man City between 2019-2023. A few loan spells at Lincoln City, Bournemouth and Blackpool followed, but he has caught the eye since making a permanent transfer to Middlesbrough just last year.
The 21-year-old has caught the eye for Michael Carrick's team so far this season, and it was during the game against Aston Villa in the FA Cup that really struck Unai Emery that signing Rogers would be essential for his club plans.
Aston Villa have been monitoring the progress of several wingers this season, including that of Jonathan Rowe at Norwich City, but have plumped for Rogers instead.
Rogers has three-and-a-half years remaining on his deal at Boro.
