Everton midfielder ready to join Arsenal this winter
Everton midfielder Amadou Onana has given the green light to join Arsenal during the ongoing transfer window.
The Belgium international has developed into one of the best holding midfielders in the division with the Toffees.
His progress has caught the eye of the Gunners and Het Nieuwsblad claim that the club have already spoken with the Merseyside club.
Onana is also considering a move to the Emirates Stadium but it is reported that a deal is unlikely to happen this winter.
The Gunners are not in a position to push through a transfer for the former Lille man as they have financial limitations.
The Premier League recently sanctioned a 10-point deduction to Everton for breaking profitability and sustainability rules.
The Toffees could face another points deduction alongside Nottingham Forest before the end of the current campaign.
Arsenal could enter into this territory if they spend £60m on Onana and they are likely to delay their transfer pursuit until June.
