Chelsea and Arsenal to battle it out for €130m striker?

Chelsea and Arsenal could go head-to-head to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen during the summer transfer window.

The Nigeria international has made the decision to pursue a new challenge away from Naples this summer. He prefers a move to the Premier League.

Chelsea and Arsenal are his main admirers and RAI Sport claim that he will be permitted to leave so long as his €130m release clause is triggered.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is quite clear that he won't provide any discount and the entire fee must be paid up front for the marksman.

Both London clubs are expected to splash the cash on a marquee striker. The Gunners could have the upper hand in the pursuit of the 25-year-old.

Arsenal are on course to qualify for the Champions League for the second season running. The Blues on the other hand are lying ninth in the league.

Chelsea may need to win the League Cup final against either Fulham or Liverpool next month to have any chance of qualifying for Europe.
