Chelsea want to sign Boniface

Chelsea are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface during the summer transfer window.

The Blues have struggled up front throughout the campaign and this has been a prime reason behind their poor league position.

They have been guilty of missing several clear-cut chances and reports claim that the club are set to invest on a new marksman.

As per SportBild, Boniface has now emerged as the top target for the Blues amid his impressive progress over recent years.

The 23-year-old joined Leverkusen from Union SG last summer. He scored 16 goals and provided eight assists before his injury.

His performances have convinced the Blues that he is the right man to lead the line for them and they plan to persuade the striker.

Leverkusen are unlikely to let him go on the cheap this summer and they plan to demand at least €50 million to sanction his sale.

Aside from Boniface, Chelsea have been linked with a surprise move for Flamengo striker Pedro valued at around €25m.
