Chelsea told compensation fee to sign De Zerbi

Chelsea will reportedly need to pay a compensation fee of around £12 million to appoint Roberto De Zerbi as their new manager.

The Blues are currently 11th in the Premier League table with only 36 points and they look set to miss out on Champions League football again.

The club are also facing a tough task of qualifying for any European competition and may have to win the FA Cup to do so.

Amidst this, The Telegraph claim that the Blues are weighing up different options and De Zerbi is one of the top names on their wishlist.

Pochettino's job remains relatively safe at the moment, but he could lose his job in the summer depending on how the season ends for the Blues.

Chelsea are not alone in the pursuit of De Zerbi. Liverpool are also admirers of him as they seek a successor to the departing Jurgen Klopp.

Manchester United are also in the pursuit of the Italian head coach. Erik ten Hag could be sacked at the conclusion of the ongoing campaign.
