Man Utd identify their top two targets for summer

Manchester United have identified their top two defensive targets for the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are expected to go on a spending spree this summer and the focus could be on the defensive department.

The hierarchy are likely to reinforce every defensive position and it could start with the purchase of central defenders.

Juventus' Gleison Bremer has been on United's radar for some time and it is claimed that he could be signed on the cheap.

The Brazilian extended his deal until June 2028 last December, but as part of the agreement, a €50m release clause was agreed.

United are prepared to trigger the buy-out clause, but they could face competition from Real Madrid for his signature.

Elsewhere, United are also keen on landing Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite. They hope to sign him for £50m compared to Everton's £75m price tag.

A deal for the England youth international could directly depend on player sales during this summer's transfer window.
