Liverpool closely monitoring Manchester United flop
Liverpool are closely monitoring Manchester United flop Sofyan Amrabat, according to Fichajes.
The Merseyside giants were interested in signing the Moroccan last summer, but he turned them down for a move to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils signed him on loan for a hefty €10m fee. They have the option to buy him for €20m, but it is unlikely to happen.
Amrabat has failed to live up to the expectations since his move to United. He has played in his shadow and has barely impressed.
United have already made the decision to send him back to Fiorentina and it seems Liverpool could revive their interest in his services.
Aside from the Reds, Barcelona are also plotting a fresh approach for the midfielder. Amrabat is also on the radar of Juventus.
Amrabat's current deal with Fiorentina expires in June next year. The Serie A outfit are widely expected to sanction his exit this summer.
La Viola valued Amrabat at €30m last summer, but they may have to accept a much lower price amid his struggles with United.
