Man Utd suffer setback with midfielder out for weeks

McTominay out for weeks with injury

Manchester United have suffered a setback with midfielder Scott McTominay suffering a hyperextension of his knee against Chelsea last week.

The Scotland international has been a key player for the Red Devils and he is currently the joint top scorer in the Premier League for the club with seven goals.

This has directly contributed to United picking up 12 extra points. It is now reported that the Scot will be sidelined for two or three weeks due to a knee concern.

McTominay was sidelined for the recent game against Liverpool and tests conducted in the last 48 hours have confirmed that his knee hyperextended at Chelsea.

The midfielder suffered the setback at Stamford Bridge after coming on as a late substitute. He is now expected to miss at least four games for United in all competitions.

This will include the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City at the Wembley Stadium. United will be favourites for the game, but they can't underestimate their opposition.
