Spanish defender very happy at Chelsea

Spanish defender Marc Cucurella has said that he is very happy at Chelsea after his change in fortunes this year.

The former Brighton man was linked with an exit from the Blues last summer, but he eventually stayed at the club.

Cucurella soon after picked up an injury and he did not return to action for the Blues until the beginning of March.

Despite this, the left-back ended the season on a high. He was ever-present in the final 12 games of the league campaign.

Cucurella has now said that he is very happy at the Blues, he said: "I feel very good and I’m excited for the future with Chelsea."

"I'm feeling very strong. I'm very happy here and I have a lot of confidence... To play for this club is just amazing!"

Cucurella is currently regarded as an undisputed starter at left-back, and he will be hoping to make a bright start for the club next season.
