Arsenal make opening bid to sign Turkish defender
Arsenal have made an opening bid to sign Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu, according to Ajansspor.
The Gunners are eyeing a new left-back in the current transfer window and they are looking into a deal for Kadioglu.
The 24-year-old is a strong ball-playing defender, but he has also impressed defensively with his tackling and recoveries.
Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with him and it is now claimed that they have made a €20m offer to sign him.
However, the proposal is not deemed sufficient. Fenerbahce are eyeing at least €35m to part ways with the 24-year-old.
Borussia Dortmund are also interested in the defender, but they are unlikely to come close to the reported asking price.
Kadioglu is currently with Turkey at the European Championship, but he is still open to negotiating his options to leave.
If Arsenal were to agree a deal with Fenerbahce, they could conduct a medical following his return from Germany.
