Man Utd pushing hard to sign Barcelona centre-back
Manchester United are reportedly pushing hard to land the signature of Barcelona centre-back Ronald Araujo this summer.
The Uruguayan has been a mainstay in the starting line-up for the Catalan giants, but his future is currently uncertain with them.
Araujo has two years left on his existing deal with the club and the hierarchy want him to commit to a new long-term contract soon.
However, the defender is reluctant to do so at the moment, considering the wage proposal is much less than proposed elsewhere.
If he does not pen fresh terms, Barcelona are prepared to sell him for €75m with interest from the likes of United and Bayern.
Sport claim that United are pushing hard and are prepared to go all out for him. They are willing to double his current salary.
Araujo has also been on the radar of Liverpool and Chelsea in the past, but the duo are unlikely to spend big on a centre-back.
