Chelsea now want to sign Leicester City midfielder
Chelsea have made a surprise enquiry for Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, according to David Ornstein.
The Blues have been quiet during the early stages of the transfer window and the onus is on balancing their books before June 30.
They could go on a spending spree afterwards and Ornstein reports that they are lining up a possible approach for Dewsbury-Hall.
The 25-year-old had a brilliant 2023/24 season with the Foxes in the Championship with 12 goals and 15 assists from 49 games.
He was linked with a move to Brighton at the start of the year, but the Foxes priced them out with a huge price tag of £40 million.
He still has three years left on his contract and the Foxes are bound to demand a similar fee following their top-flight promotion.
Enzo Maresca left the Foxes to takeover as the Blues manager and the Foxes are bound to make it difficult to secure his services.
Brighton and Wolves could also enter the pursuit of the Englishman.
