Man Utd still want to sign Bayern star after Leny Yoro
Manchester United have not ruled out the prospect of signing Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer, according to Manchester World.
The Red Devils recently confirmed the arrival of Leny Yoro from Lille for £52m up front. They will pay another £7m through add-ons.
After such a huge outlay, there have been suggestions that the club may not pursue another centre-back during the current transfer window.
However, Manchester World claim that United have not ruled out the prospect, though a signing could depend on potential player exits.
Victor Lindelof or Harry Maguire may need to be sold for De Ligt's arrival. There is a possibility that both could leave in the coming weeks.
De Ligt has already agreed terms over a long-term deal with United, and he is currently waiting for the club to negotiate with Bayern Munich.
The Dutchman has turned down advances from several other clubs and it remains to be seen whether United make an approach for him.
