Man Utd eyeing bargain deal for Serie A midfielder
Manchester United are aiming to sign Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on a bargain deal, according to La Nazione.
The Morocco international spent last season on loan with the Red Devils where he made 32 appearances in all competitions.
His performances were below expectations for most of the campaign until May where he stepped up with stand-out displays.
United decided against re-signing Amrabat by triggering a €20m buy clause, but they have not ruled out a permanent transfer.
The club are prepared to re-open negotiations with Fiorentina with a view to signing him for around €13m in the coming weeks.
Should the Serie A outfit decline the proposal, the club will request to sign him on another loan deal with an obligation to buy.
Amrabat has yet to report for Fiorentina training, and he is currently desperate to reunite with United and Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils boss is also keen on working with him again and has already told the hierarchy to finalise a fresh deal.
