Liverpool enter talks to sign long-term Arsenal target
Liverpool have reportedly entered talks with Real Sociedad to sign long-term Arsenal target Martin Zubimendi.
The Spain international has been on the Gunners' radar for the past few years, but he has rejected the chance to join them.
Zubimendi clearly has no desire of leaving Sociedad and he has also snubbed the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
It is now reported that the Reds have entered the race for the Spaniard and their interest has been informed to Sociedad.
Sociedad are not looking to part ways with the midfielder, but they could consider his exit if his €60m release clause is triggered.
However, the final decision would rest on the 25-year-old, who has been reluctant to consider a move away from San Sebastian.
He would be a huge coup for the Merseyside giants if they manage to lure him from the La Liga outfit in the coming days.
If Zubimendi were to move to Anfield, it would come as a setback for the Gunners, who have been trying to sign him for a while.
