Arsenal prepared to part ways with 25yo striker
Arsenal are prepared to part ways with Eddie Nketiah before the transfer window closes this month, according to The Athletic.
The Gunners graduate has been a fringe player over the past year and he has been fancied to pursue a new challenge away from the club.
Marseille were interested in landing his signature earlier in the summer, but they decided to secure the services of Elye Wahi instead.
This has not ended the prospect of him leaving. Bournemouth are keen on landing his signature alongside Fulham and Crystal Palace.
Nketiah has welcomed the opportunity to leave the Gunners as he is unlikely to secure a regular starting berth with the club in future.
The Englishman is prepared to revive his career away from north London. Arsenal want an initial fee of around £25 million for his sale.
The Athletic claim that Nketiah's departure is essential for the club to create space and capital for the arrival of Mikel Merino from Real Sociedad.
