Inzaghi blasts Donadoni

The AC Milan star striker 'Pippo' Inzaghi has today questioned Roberto Donadoni's decision to leave him out of the provisional squad.

'Super Pip' who has a reputation for being a 'fox in the box' type forward, has been in fine form of late as he bagged 10 goals in his last 7 matches for Milan. He also has an outstanding record at international level, grabbing 25 goals in 57 games for his beloved Azzuri. He was his sides second top scorer in the qualifiers for the tournament.

Inzaghi today said, “Evidently my injury was enough to mean that I didn’t even deserve a phone call and to cancel out what I thought was a mature, adult relationship,”

“I am disappointed to have been left out, but I sincerely wish all the best to the Azzurri for the European Championship.”

Many will share Inzaghi's view that he deserved a call up to the squad as he has always been popular with the fans and is well known for his hunger to score goals, he was also a part of Lippi's World Cup winning side.

Donadoni has instead opted for the unpredictable Antonio Cassano and the out of form Marco Borriello.
