Oliver Skipp completes Leicester City move
Oliver Skipp has passed his medical and signed a contract at Leicester City this morning, and will be unveiled to the media this afternoon. Skipp departs Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth around £15 million up front, with a further £5 million in add-ons over the next four years.
Skipp, who has been with Spurs since 2008, leaves Tottenham after 16 years and 77 first team appearances. Often much-maligned at White Hart Lane, the 23-year-old has decided to depart after manager Ange Postecoglou told the player that he is free to leave the club. With 24 caps for England's under-21 side, Skipp is hopeful regular first-team football will improve his chances of an appearance for England's full national side.
The 5 foot 9 midfielder had a short spell at Norwich City but has generally been a rotation player with Spurs.
Skipp will partner with his former Tottenham team mate Harry Winks at Leicester and it is understood that the midfielder has signed a five year contract with the Foxes, but will not be registered in time to play today's game against Spurs.
