Man Utd suffer huge injury blow ahead of Liverpool clash
Manchester United have suffered a huge injury blow ahead of the Premier League derby against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils have had an indifferent start to the campaign. They picked up a win over Fulham before suffering a defeat at Brighton.
The club now face a huge challenge against their arch-rivals. Ahead of Liverpool's visit, United have confirmed a setback for Mason Mount.
Mount had an injury-plagued debut season with the Red Devils and he managed less than 1,000 minutes across all competitions.
He had a bright injury-free pre-season this time around, but unfortunately picked up a hamstring issue in the 2-1 loss to Brighton.
Mount has now confirmed the setback through social media and reports claim that he could be on the sidelines for six weeks.
The news is a massive blow for the Red Devils, considering the former Chelsea man has been one of the bright sparks this season.
In his absence, Bruno Fernandes could return to the number 10 role on Sunday with Joshua Zirkzee leading the line for United.
