Enzo Maresca confirms muscle injury for Chelsea star
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed that defender Malo Gusto picked up a muscle injury during the 1-1 Premier League draw against Crystal Palace.
The Blues started off brightly against the Eagles at Stamford Bridge and they could have easily scored more than one goal in the opening half.
After the break, Chelsea lacked the same intensity. Eberechi Eze equalised for Palace and the Blues were unable to find the winning goal.
Nicolas Jackson opened the scoring for the Blues, but he was far from his best with his finishing during the back end of the London derby.
Meanwhile, Gusto was also substituted with an injury in the closing stages and Maresca confirmed the same in his post-match presser.
He said: "We will see what happens. It looks like a muscle problem and we are going to see."
With the stalemate, Chelsea remain in the bottom half of the table in 11th with four points. They face Bournemouth on the road after the break.
