Man Utd eyeing surprise move for Spanish winger?

Manchester United could make a surprise swoop for Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams next year, according to Fichajes.

Amidst this, Fichajes claim that the club are eyeing an ambitious move for Williams and they are planning to beat Barcelona to his services.

Williams is aware of the long-standing interest from the La Liga giants, but United are optimistic of luring him to Old Trafford instead.

He has a low release clause of £48 million in his contract, but could demand a weekly wage package in the region of £300,000.

This is well within the affordability range of United. The club are likely to face competition from Arsenal, who are long-term admirers too.
