Palmer expected to have a scan after Martinez challenge
Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer is expected to have a scan following a reckless challenge from Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez yesterday.
The England international suffered a knock to his knee in yesterday's Premier League game at Old Trafford. He sustained the blow in the final seconds after a poor challenge from Martinez
It is now revealed that the 22-year-old is expected to undergo a scan in the next 24 hours and the Blues are hopeful that Palmer will be lucky in avoiding any kind of knee injury.
Chelsea entertain Noah in the Conference League on Thursday before facing Arsenal in the Premier League. Palmer won't be involved in midweek as he is not in the squad.
The Blues will be hoping that he can prove his fitness ahead of the crucial London derby against the Gunners at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues are currently fourth in the league standings. They are ahead of the Gunners on goal difference at the current point.
