Rigters to exit Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers are set to offload Dutch player Maceo Rigters after an unimpressive spell in Lancashire. The Dutchman was only just signed last year for £350,000 from NAC Breda, and is set to return to his homeland.

A Rovers source told the Lancashire Telegraph: "We are willing to listen to offers for Maceo.

"His agent has told us Maceo wants to be playing regular first-team football and, because we can't guarantee him that, we would consider letting him move on."

Rigters would be allowed to leave for half the price.
