Ruben Amorim praises one United star after Ipswich draw
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has heaped praise on Noussair Mazraoui following the 1-1 Premier League draw against Ipswich Town on the road.
The Red Devils played their first game under Amorim at Portman Road and made the perfect start with Marcus Rashford scoring in just the second minute of the game.
However, they struggled to create any clear-cut chances thereafter. United ended up sharing the spoils, but they could have lost if not for Andre Onana's stellar saves.
Speaking after the game, Amorim praised multiple stars and he was appreciative over the performance of Mazraoui on the right side of the back three for United.
He said: "We don't have too many centre-backs so we have to adapt some players. I thought Noussair Mazraoui did very well. He is so smart and is so important for us."
Mazraoui has been a revelation since joining the club from Bayern Munich last summer and he has already in several positions for the Mancunian giants.
He started off as a right-back before moving into the left-back role. Erik ten Hag played him as an attacking midfielder too and he is now shining in central defence.
