Liverpool won't budge on Carson

Liverpool are reportedly not willing to offers for Aston Villa goalkeeper Scott Carson as they have already agreed a price with the club. Villa are reportedly unwilling to budge as they are only willing to pay £7 million for Carson.

Benitez has been keen to hang on to Carson after he returns from loan.

“It is a matter between the clubs,” Benitez said in The Liverpool Echo. “We agreed the fee with Aston Villa last year.

“The fee has been there for one season so to talk about the fee now is not correct.

“We agreed with Martin O’Neill and that was the situation.”
